The purpose of this legislation is to is to amend Bill No. 36-0229 to further recognize the distinguished public service and enduring contributions of Senator Adelbert M. “Bert” Bryan to the people and community of the Virgin Islands. Specifically, the amendment would: (1) Modify the honorary street designation provided for in Bill No. 36-0229 to identify the honoree as “Senator Adelbert M. ‘Bert’ Bryan Drive”; and (2) Provide for the Virgin Islands Medal of Honor to be bestowed upon Senator Adelbert M. “Bert” Bryan in recognition of his commendable and dedicated service and contributions to the people of the Virgin Islands.
